Location-Based Services Terms update (effective October 30, 2026)
Parts of our Location-Based Services Terms will change on October 30, 2026. We now describe how to withdraw your consent to location use and what happens when you do.
You can now withdraw and re-give your location consent at any time in Settings, so we have added this to the Terms.
Effective date
October 30, 2026
What changes
Article 10 (Withdrawing consent): You can withdraw and re-give consent at any time in Settings › Privacy › Location data consent, in the app and on the web. From the moment you withdraw, we stop showing nearby photos and stop accepting uploads of photos with location data.
Article 10 (Posts you already shared): The capture location of a post you already shared stays with that post. When you delete the post or your account, its capture location is deleted right away.
Articles 7 and 9: There is no per-post private setting, so we corrected the wording to 'private account'.
If you do not agree
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you can stop using the service and withdraw your consent (Article 2, Paragraph 3).
